Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
what is force?
according to Newton, it is dependent on mass and acceleration;
it is an influence that forces something to undergo a change.
what could have happened to make the vessel I’m forced in feel so unfamiliar?
or was I ever comfortable in my own skin?
what happens to our cells when they undergo mitosis?
do they split and encounter foreign bodies that then
lodge themselves in between the crevices of our beings
then make us foreign, too?
just like our senses, I believe sadness has receptors
the opposite of pain, however
it is embedded deep within our minds and souls
because it takes a little digging before you can actually feel it
but when you do, it’s the same as your pain receptors
telling the clusters of neurons that stretch wildly in your hand to
drop the sharp object.
but our bodies are tanks
we have oceans of blood swimming in between canals
and there is a reason for why we jump out of the way when a car comes speeding towards us
and there is a reason that our hearts keep beating even if we don’t want them to
because our hearts and bodies are invested in other hearts and bodies
and we’re too adapted to the notion of survival.
this is to the beautiful people in my life
that have had not so beautiful things happen to them
that have wanted to let their oceans seep onto their surroundings
that have wanted to take a sledgehammer to their canals
and eject their essence into an infinity
the causes for your sadness may be a construct
and the causes for your emotions may be a construct
